Blackpool band, Alright are undoubtedly one of the most exciting bands around on the indie screen right now.

The 5 piece, consisting of Joe Darnell, (Vocals), Matt Bunnage (Rhythm Guitar), Joe Platt (Lead Guitar), Brad Mills (Bass) and Liam Smith (Drums), formed in 2021 and have released 7 singles, played a sold out show at Blackpool’s Bootleg Social, supported, Rats as well as receiving regular plays before Blackpool Football Club home games, featuring on Sky Sports Boxing and receiving recognition from The Pet Shop Boys.

These achievements have led to the band headlining a show with This Feeling in Manchester and a Christmas gig at the iconic Blackpool Tower.

The new single Dress Code, is due for release on Monday 11th June and sees the band on fine form.

The song is an instant toe tapper and foot stomper that will go down an absolute storm with old and new fans.

The driving bass and drums lay the foundations for the catchy guitar hooks that give the song its distinctive sound.

The vocal is powerful and with relatable lyrics that offer a social commentary where we follow rules and regulations and individuality seems to have fallen off of a cliff.

The drumming of this track is fantastic and really drives the song along, it’s really catchy and the way it combines with the guitar hooks shows the quality of musicianship within the band. There’s almost a ska vibe going on with the songs sound, with the band putting there own indie spin on it.

I’ve been a big fan of Alright, since the beginning and it’s great to hear the confidence that has grown within the band. They aren’t afraid to tell it like it is and Dress Code is a great story teller of a single, full of dazzling melodies and full of swagger.

With an appearance at Y Not Festival to come, Alright have delivered a new single of epic proportions that will see them on main stages before long. Alright are one of the most exciting bands around and are heading to the very top of the tower!

DressCode is released on Sunday 11th June and can be pre-saved here.
