Balado are a 4-piece rocknroll outfit hailing from Neilston in Scotland and Black Shadow is the bands exciting 3rd single.
Consisting of lead singer Jamie Finnigan, bassist, Connor Mcgrane, guitarist Peter Houston and drummer Nathan Coates, the band have lofty ambitions of performing at Glasgow’s iconic Barrowland venue. Having seen plenty of footage from their live shows, including a recent support with The Heavy North, it’s only a matter of time before Balado are achieving that particular ambition and looking further afield to bigger things.
Black Shadow is a stomping anthem, which kicks off with an iconic, swaggering guitar riff, before these huge, energetic drums join in, giving the track an early Black Rebel Motorcycle Clubmeets 60s garage psychedelic rocknroll feel and, along with the songs charismatic vocals, will capture the hearts and minds of all that hear it.
The guitar hooks and riffs on the track are stunning and will get your head nodding, feet tapping and the hips shaking.
You get the sense that the band had a lot of fun recording this track and that comes over in the upbeat melody and general euphoric feeling in the track.
Put simply Black Shadow is a great garage rocknroll track. As with their two previous singles, Black Shadow hits the spot; it’s now only a matter of time before things take off for this Scottish 4-piece.
Black Shadow is released on Friday 14th October and will be available to stream and download across all of the usual platforms!
