The Rivers are set to release their new single Mindfield on August 19th and is the bands first release since last years EP Long Road From Nowhere.
Having formed in 2015, the band have relentlessly gigged across Wales, building a real reputation as a band that will get moving.
In March 2022 they signed to independent Swansea based label SWND Records and Mindfield is the bands first release on the new label and what a tune it is.
It‘s got that classic indie sound, which the four-piece have built their reputation on. It’s a real anthem and is built around these big energetic pounding drums and punchy guitar riffs.
The vocal is really powerful and has a sound not dissimilar to Van McCann from indie legends Catfish and the Bottlemen.
The verses are superb and the anthemic chorus will surely be sung back to the band when it gets played live and the upbeat tempo will definitely get audiences bouncing around.
The Rivers have taken that classic indie sound and turned it into their own, which is anthemic choruses, full of energy, passion and great songwriting.
If you’ve not checked out The Rivers yet, I highly recommend that you do, as they are ready to leave a lasting impression and go all the way to the very top!
