The Radio Addicts arrived in 2025 with the kind of entrance most bands spend years chasing. Debut single Scroll My Life Away announced them as a band with pace, personality and zero interest in easing themselves in, while Behind My Eyes proved there was substance behind the noise. With a sold-out vinyl only debut EP behind them and over 33k Spotify streams, Bolton’s teenage four-piece return with Let’s Party Like It’s The 90s. If the first two singles hinted at potential, this one confirms they are the real deal.

From the opening moments you are met with a razor sharp guitar hook that lands immediately and sounds like one ready made for arenas. The rhythm section hits like a supernova, creating that feeling of being dropped onto the middle of a party and having no intention of going him. There’s urgency in every best, but crucially The Radio Addicts understand energy alone isn’t enough, this song is loaded with infectious melodies.

What stands out most is the balance. The verses carry a restless, youthful momentum, full of movement and attitude before everything bursts into the chorus, that feels perfect for singing along at the top of your voice. There are flashes of indie swagger, punk bite and Britpop abandon, but none of it feels nostalgic for the sake of it. Instead the band take that spirt and turn it into something that’s truly their own.

Lyrically there’s something brilliantly relatable buried underneath the chaos. House-party characters, chasing attention, dodging the people who all talk, it captures that messy optimism and chaos of youth without overthinking it, epitomised in the chorus lyric “Let’s party like it’s the 90s, everyone’s all full of it, it’s all chaos, but I love it chaos” The songs title suggests nostalgia, but the feeling timeless.

If Scroll My Life Away introduced The Radio Addicts and Behind My Eyes confirmed the hype, Let’s Party Like It’s The 90s feels like the moment the wider indir world starts paying more attention. Loud, infectious and impossible to ignored this isn’t just a song built for the summer, it’s a statement from a band who look ready to sprint far beyond the grassroots scene.

Turn it up. Grab your mates. Leave your phone in your pocket.

The Radio Addicts have delivered an indie-punk anthem that feels like youth at full volume.
