Emerging in Grimsby on 2022, Healer quickly earned a reputation on the local live science supporting Britpop legends Sleeper and indie rockers Trampolene. Since then the 5-piece have released 8 singles and 1 EP, 2025’s Black & Blue (making ThisIsTheMusic Top 20 EPs of 2025) amassing over 100k streams on Spotify.

They start 2026 with the release of Save You, a real statement of intent that well and truly announces their arrival.

Built on Sun-drenched indie kicks and a droning urgent rhythm, the track will have hooked from the opening beat. The instrumentations are tight, purposeful and full of intent, whilst maintaining an emotional undercurrent.

The addition of striking synths adds another layer to the song, layered beneath the guitars, they inject an early Kasabian-esque pulse giving the track a hypnotic, slightly psychedelic edge, that elevates the track beyond being another indie rock track. If you think, Kasabian’s widescreen ambition, the groove of Foals and flashes of Tame Impala’s song depth, then you’ll have have an idea into the magnitude of Healer’s ambition, whilst maintaining a sense of their own identity.

But where Save You really stands out from being another indie track, is in the emotion of the lyrics. Making it stand out from the crowd. The lyric “I cannot save you from yourself” is extremely powerful and provides a moment of clarity, wrapped in frustration, care, and helplessness.

The verses feel intimate, building towards that emotionally charged chorus, and really set the scene. The chorus is anthemic and the “I cannot save you from yourself” is poignant and waiting for you to sing along too.

The vocals are fantastic and really ensure the emotive lyrics hit home, elevating this song into something that will be relatable to many.

What Healer have done brilliantly here, is balance, grit with vulnerability and emotion. It’s a song that feels both personal and universal. It’s a song about holding on, knowing when to let go and living in that space inbetween.

Save You is a real statement of intent and is a demonstration of intent that the 5-piece want to head to the top. With soaring hooks, layered synths and plenty of swagger, you wouldn’t bet against that happening at some point over the next 12 months. This is Healer announcing themselves in some style – you’d been foolish not pay attention.

Save You is out now on all streaming and download platforms.
