London six piece, Albion, release beautiful new single, Amy.
Consisting of Ben on Lead Vocals, Guitar and Harmonica, Bidz on Vocals and Lead Guitar, Hunter on Bass, Jack on Drums, Jake on Vocals and Guitar and Sophie on Keys, Albion formed in 2021 and have already released 10 singles, showcasing the fantastic work ethic that exists within the band and the quality of musicianship on display.
Amy is the bands 4th single release of the year and is a poignant, delicate offering in dedication to the late Amy Winehouse.
The track is a beautiful bouncy ballad packed with guitars, keys, harmonica and mandolin that intertwine with a emotional vocal and heartfelt lyrics.
The vocals are shared and are really emotive and strong, which draws you into the story more and the harmonies, which come to the fore as backing vocals in the chorus are simply stunning.
Exploring themes of love and loss, unrequited feelings and regret, Amy refers to Winehouse’s music and how powerful it was, whilst detailing the story of a love that never reached its full potential.
Amy really highlights the passion, drive and craft that Albion have in their music. They aren’t afraid to continually push their sound into difficult places and the result is another stunning single.
