Billobuckers are 4-piece indie rock band from Leicester, who consist of, Billy (Rhythm Guitar & Vocals), 23, Callum (Bass) 19, Alastair (Lead guitar), 19, and George (Drums), 25.

The Leicester 4-piece have released two singles so far, It’ll Be Alright and Where You’re From, which have gone down an absolute storm and have amassed over 3k Spotify streams since release.

Since the release of their debut single, It’ll Be Alright, I’ve had a feeling that Billobuckers were a band that would be going places and will rapidly rise on the indie scene. They’ve had support from BBC Introducing East Midlands, and are rapidly expanding their fan base, in their local area and now is the time for the rest of the country to stand up and take note.

Billobuckers wear their influences on their sleeves, inspired by the sounds of the 60s, Britpop and the early 2000s, whilst putting their own spin on it, as shown in the vocal delivery, which is sung completely within the way it would be said.

Their new single, Sweat and Alcopops is set for release on Friday 9th June and it’s an instant classic that packs a huge punch.

Kicking off with a dirty guitar riff that is the songs focal point, Sweat and Alcopops is an uplifting track with a chorus that sticks in your head.

It’s an energetic, swaggering track with great hook-able riffs, combined with relatable lyrics about late nights, Alcopops and being young and free.

“It’s sweat and Alcopops all over the shop, and you keep drinking more and it’s never enough”

From the opening guitar riff, you’ll find yourself singing and grooving along to it: the song has been specifically designed for pogoing it’s an energetic floor filler that’s extremely catchy.

Billobuckers have made an extremely promising start as a band and are setting the bar for themselves, extremely high, as each song they’ve released so far oozes class. They are a fast rising indie band and Sweat and Alcopops is their best single yet, full of rocknroll swagger: it’s a song for the masses and ensure they are a band to get very excited about.

Sweat and Alcopops is released on Friday 8th June and can be pre-saved here.
