Jonny Ash release pulsating, energetic indie rocker.
Jonny Ash had a storming 2021 and if their new release, Disco, is anything to go by, then 2022 is set to be even bigger and better.
Disco is the sound that Oasis should have achieved on their 4th album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, (but despite all their swagger and self-confidence, didn’t have the conviction to pull off). Anyway I digress. Disco is full of intricate guitar riffs and a passionate vocal. The drums are thunderous and the bassline rumbles along at a ferocious pace. The band have deliberately set the BPM to the sweet spot of disco music, giving the song a real groove, and allowing the listener to fall in love with the beat without even realising it.
The lyrics are both fun and cheeky and describe the feeling of dancing the night away with someone whilst “getting lost in the music”.
“The bar‘s still open the night is only young. When you get home say to hi to your mum. Hope you can stop here I got something to say. But for now only, let’s drink the night away. I fell in love with you at the disco”
Explaining why it is already a band favourite, Lead Guitarist Peter said: “We are really excited to release our new track Disco, as a band it’s one of our favourite tunes to play live based on the interaction we get from our amazing crowds. It’s usually saved to the end of our set because of how well It goes down regardless of where we are playing. We are buzzing to just get it out there and we hope you love it as much as we do”
Disco, with it’s stadium ready riffs, further underlines Jonny Ash’s credentials as being one of the most exciting bands on the new music scene.
Disco is released on Friday 11th February and can be pre-saved here
