There are indie-rock singles that aim for impact.

And then there’s Another Way — a song that lands.

Stoke-on-Trent’s own All The Young return with their most honest, hard-hitting and emotionally charged release to date. Set for release on March 6th, 2026, “Another Way” isn’t just another step forward — it’s a bold, unflinching leap into darker, deeper territory.

Formed in 2009 by brothers Ryan and Jack Dooley, All The Young have never taken the easy road. After signing to Warner Bros. Records in 2011, their debut album Welcome Home — produced by Garth Richardson — broke into the UK charts and took them touring worldwide with Morrissey, The Kaiser Chiefs, Hard-Fi, and The Pigeon Detectives, even taking The 1975 out as support.

They’ve experienced the highs of major label life. They’ve weathered the fallout. And with 2022’s Tales of Grandeur, they reaffirmed their status as one of Britain’s most authentic modern rock acts.

Now, with a revitalised lineup featuring Ryan Dooley, Arron Darlington, Mike Davies and Tom Compton, they sound sharper, braver and hungrier than ever.

From the very first strike of moody, reverb-soaked guitar, there’s an immediate tension in the air on Another Way. The drums drive with purpose. The bassline pulses underneath like a restless heartbeat. This is widescreen indie rock with grit under its fingernails — urgent, muscular, and absolutely relentless.

Recorded and produced by Gareth Nuttall (whose credits include The K’s, Frank Turner, and The Lottery Winners), the production is razor-sharp without sanding off the raw edges. The guitars cut deeper. The dynamics breathe. Every swell and drop feels intentional. Nothing wasted. Nothing safe.

And then the chorus hits.

Not gently. Not politely.

It explodes.

Big hooks. Soaring melody. Arms-in-the-air defiance. The kind of moment built for festival fields and sweat-soaked headline shows alike. But beneath the anthemic exterior lies something far more powerful — vulnerability.

Another Way is a song about addiction and the moment you realise you need to do things differently. I could see a way out, but I was struggling to walk through it… It’s about despair, but also about that first spark of wanting to change your life.”

Guitarist and songwriter Tom Compton

That internal battle defines the song. You can hear the frustration in the verses — the isolation, the sense of being trapped in a cycle. But when the chorus surges, it feels like release. Like choosing forward motion over fear. Like the exact second something inside shifts.

It channels the emotional intensity that first put the band on the map with ‘Arcane’, but there’s growth here. Maturity. A darker energy. A willingness to confront real-life struggles head-on rather than hide behind volume.

This is catharsis wrapped in distortion.

“Another Way” doesn’t feel like a band chasing algorithms.
It doesn’t feel like a placeholder single.

It feels like intent.
Like a line in the sand.
Like a band staring their demons down and turning them into fuel.

This isn’t background music.

This is turn-it-up, feel-it-in-your-chest, shout-it-back-at-the-stage indie rock.

Pay attention.

All The Young just raised the bar — and “Another Way” demands you meet it.

Another Way is released on Friday 6th March and can be pre-saved here.
