ALRIGHT don’t just return with “Bullet Brain” — they detonate into 2026 with a statement of intent that feels urgent, honest, and impossible to ignore.

Emerging from Blackpool in 2021, the five-piece have steadily built their reputation the right way: sweat-soaked gigs, word-of-mouth momentum, and a sound rooted in the great northern indie lineage. Selling out venues across Blackpool, Manchester, Liverpool, and beyond — with stops in Jersey, Brighton and London — they’ve earned their stripes on stage alongside names like The K’s, Pastel, The Clause and The Lilacs, while festival appearances at Y Not? and Isle of Wight have only widened their reach. Comparisons to The Coral, Cast, The Twang and The Stone Roses feel justified, but “Bullet Brain” proves they’re not just echoing influences — they’re sharpening their own identity.

And it’s a powerful one.

Written by drummer Liam Smith, “Bullet Brain” is a high-energy indie anthem that tackles the lived experience of ADHD with striking clarity and heart. From the first beat, there’s a restless urgency running through the track — the rhythm section drives hard and fast, guitars surge forward in tight, propulsive bursts, and the whole thing feels like it’s constantly on the verge of spilling over. That tension is the point. It mirrors the racing thoughts, the overload, the chaos and clarity colliding all at once.

What elevates “Bullet Brain” beyond just another indie belter is its emotional core. Beneath the hooks and momentum lies a deeper question — what parts of yourself are lost when you try to quiet the very thing that makes you who you are? It’s raw, reflective and disarmingly human, delivered without self-pity and with a defiant sense of pride.

Musically, ALRIGHT are firing on all cylinders. The track is packed with infectious melodies that stick instantly, but it’s the relentless pace and energy that truly define it. There’s a pulse to the song that never lets up, capturing that feeling of a mind that refuses to slow down. It’s the kind of anthem built for packed rooms and raised voices — you can already picture it igniting crowds from the opening bars.

There’s also a maturity here that signals a band stepping into a new phase. The songwriting is tighter, the message sharper, and the delivery more assured. You can hear the years of graft in every second — the late nights, the long drives, the grassroots grind that’s brought them to this moment. Industry support from the likes of John Kennedy, Jim Salveson, The Pigeon Detectives, Pet Shop Boys and even Glastonbury’s Michael Eavis hasn’t come by chance. “Bullet Brain” shows exactly why people are paying attention.

As a first strike for 2026, it’s a fearless one. Honest, high-octane and unflinchingly real, “Bullet Brain” captures ALRIGHT at their most vital — a band turning personal experience into something universal, and doing it with a sound big enough to carry them far beyond the northern circuit they’ve already conquered.

Make no mistake — “Bullet Brain” is a statement record. Fast, fierce and emotionally charged, it captures ALRIGHT at the exact moment potential turns into momentum. This is the sound of a band outgrowing the grassroots and stepping into something far louder. Don’t be surprised if this is the track people look back on as the one that changed everything.
