She Doesn’t Know finds Park View hitting a new level of confidence, delivering a track that feels both intimate and widescreen. There’s a restless energy running through the song from the off — chiming guitars shimmer and circle, locking into a rhythm section that keeps things moving with a subtle urgency rather than brute force. It’s indie rock that breathes, letting space and texture do as much work as volume.

Formed in late 2022 at the heart of Newcastle’s student scene, Park View are a five-piece made up of Alfie Kelly (vocals), Alex Potter (guitar) Lewis Nicholson (guitar), Laura Kearns (bass), and Tom Davys (drums) . Since then, they’ve been steadily building momentum, with their 2025 release The Pretty Sounds EP now approaching an impressive 38,000 Spotify streams, a clear marker of a band whose sound is connecting well beyond their local scene.

So what of the new single, which is set for release on Thursday 15th January? The soundscape of She Doesn’t Know is carefully layered. Guitars flicker between clean, jangling lines and moments of grit, creating a push-and-pull that mirrors the emotional tension at the heart of the song. There’s a hazy warmth to the production, but it never drifts into softness — instead, it feels focused and intentional, with each instrument given room to make its mark. The track builds patiently, never rushing its payoff, rewarding repeated listens as new details surface.

Vocally, the song really lands its punch. The delivery is controlled but loaded with feeling — understated in places, then rising with quiet conviction as the chorus hits. There’s a conversational quality to the vocal that pulls you in, making the lyrics feel personal rather than performative. It’s that balance between vulnerability and confidence that gives the track its staying power, sounding effortless while clearly being finely tuned.

With She Doesn’t Know, Park View aren’t just teasing potential — they’re staking a claim. This is a band sharpening their identity, writing songs that feel lived-in and immediate while still aiming for something bigger. With their biggest headline show to date coming up on 21st February at Think Tank, alongside support from Josh Webb, Poly Vinyl and Split The Ticket, Park View look perfectly placed to turn momentum into a full-blown breakout. Get familiar now — this is a name you’ll be hearing a lot more of very soon.
