Fresh from their electric appearance at Sheffield’s Quadrophenia celebrations in June, where they were joined on stage by none other than Phil Daniels for a storming performance of Substitute, The Rafters are back with a new single that proves just how far they’ve come. Stuck on Your Frequency, released on September 12, is a blistering slice of rock ’n’ roll energy that cements their reputation as one of the most exciting live-and-studio bands around.
Clocking in at just under three minutes (2:54 to be exact), Stuck on Your Frequency is short, sharp, and impossible to ignore. It’s a track built to bounce to: catchy hooks, fierce delivery, and a raw, high-octane spirit that makes it an instant showstopper. This is The Rafters at their boldest, everything from the songwriting to the musicianship and production feels tight, urgent, and polished to perfection.

The track’s inspiration adds a layer of bite beneath the swagger. It’s rooted in a real story: a friend who returned from Thailand for an ex-girlfriend, only to be ghosted on arrival and left stuck in a place he no longer wanted to be. That sense of frustration and obsession pulses through the song—“stuck on her frequency”—making it not only an anthem for the dancefloor but also a story listeners can feel.
Simply put, this is The Rafters’ greatest achievement to date. Fierce, fiery, and full of character, Stuck on Your Frequency is destined to become a fan favourite, both on record and in their live set. Rock ’n’ roll rarely feels this fresh, and The Rafters have captured lightning in a bottle.
