London 5-piece Maze return with anthemic new single, that feels immediately familiar.

Formed in 2021, the band features Gary Davis on vocals, Paul Hancock and Paul Bassom on guitars, Ben Rutherford on bass, and Martin Gamby on drums. Drawing inspiration from 90s Britpop, they’ve quickly built a cult following across the UK and beyond earning a reputation for electrifying live shows, all while staying humble and deeply grateful for the support they’ve received.

The new single I Know, You Know, was recently released as a limited edition double A-side single (with Ziggy) and has been met with fan acclaim thanks to it’s infectious melody and energetic indie rock vibes.

There’s a special kind of magic when a song feels like it’s been with you forever by the time the first chorus hits. Maze’s I Know You Know is exactly that song: immediately familiar, effortlessly warm, and impossible not to replay again and again. I guarantee it will become one of your favourite tracks of 2025.

I Know You Know opens with shimmering, jangly guitars and a warm groove that instantly feels like a sunset in sound, while the vocals carry a down-to-earth sincerity that makes every lyric land. The guitars sparkle with a breezy confidence, while the steady rhythm section keeps your head nodding from start to finish.

Maze have a knack for melodies that feel lived in, and the vocals on this track are no exception delivered with sincerity and clarity, they glide across the instrumental with an ease that makes you want to lean in closer.

The chorus is where I Know You Know really soars and is pure indie gold. It’s the kind of hook that sneaks into your head and makes itself at home, but without trying too hard and has been belted back word-for-word by the bands rapidly expanding fan base at some electrifying gigs.

There’s an understated emotional pull in this song a sense of moving forward while carrying memories in your back pocket which gives it a depth you’ll notice more with each listen. It’s catchy, but it’s also comforting, a rare balance that Maze pulls off with ease.

I Know You Know firmly places Maze among the UK’s new wave of indie bands that understand the power of melody and honesty. If Maze continue crafting songs with this level of heart and melodic instinct, they won’t just be part of the UK’s rising indie scene—they’ll be leading it.

I Know You Know is released digitally on Friday 11th July and can be pre-saved here.
