Siracuse are chasing something bigger and with their latest introspective single Chase The Morning”, they just might have caught it.
The Cheltenham 4-piece are steadily carving out a reputation for dreamy, dance-y psychedelic anthems and Chase The Morning is exactly that. A sublime track that blends dreamy shoegaze with 90s Britpop influences, whilst maintaining a modern and fresh appeal.
From the opening beat, Chase The Morning, explodes with euphoric energy. and wraps you in a moody, ambient soundscape: hazy guitars, hypnotic beats and pulsating rhythms, whilst the vocals glide in with a nostalgic melancholy, a sense of emotional altitude that lifts the whole track into euphoric territory.
“It’s a summer anthem about not letting go of dreams and remembering how to have a good time with your mates. Cliche, perhaps, but it’s easy to let the clock tick; this tune’s all about optimism”
Ben Zakotti
Chase The Morning is an anthem for anyone who’s ever felt the pull of escape, the thrill of chasing something just out of reach a feeling, a future, or even just freedom. It’s got that rare mix of swagger and sincerity you can dance to it, cry to it. It’s indie with its heart racing and its eyes wide open.
Lyrically, the song captures that in-between state — half dream, half reality — where you’re not quite sure if you’re running from something or toward it.
The band have called this one a party tune, and they’re not wrong. But Chase The Morning isn’t just about the night before it’s about what’s next. The afterglow. The come-up. The chaos and clarity that hits as the sky starts to change colour.
If Siracuse were aiming for something anthemic, something electric, something massive they’ve nailed it. This is a band stepping into their moment. Don’t just listen to it. Live it.
