Yon Mon, the solo project from the former The Shed Project frontman and founder Roy Fletcher, is back with the 3rd single from his forthcoming debut album, set for release later in the year.

The two previous singles, Shine On and Picture This have achieved over 12,500 streams, receiving plenty of praise and support from fans of The Shed Project and bloggers/podcasters/radio show hosts alike.

Having teased followers on social media since the start of the solo project, about Warmongers, the song is set for release and anticipation could not be higher!

In true Yon Mon style the new single hits hard, with its direct lyrics and sharp critique of the establishments continued disregard for the working classes, delivering a raw and unapologetic anthem that deserves to be heard.

“I wanted to make a statement about how war is a money making exercise for the rich man pulling the strings, always money for wars but no money for the working class and the poor. And how governments manipulate the media divide and rule”

Roy Fletcher on Warmongers

The soundscape is a genre bending fusion of indie rock, psychedelic influences, electronic beats, with elements of trip-hop and dub. Roy’s vocal remains unmistakably distinct, full of swagger and confidence.

Warmongers, feels both forward-thinking and nostalgic, embodying the Madchester spirit while pushing his sound into new sonic territories.

With its scathing lyricism and hypnotic grooves, this track packs a punch and heightens anticipation for a debut album that, judging by the first three singles, promises plenty of surprises at every turn. Bring it on!

Warmongers is released on Friday 28th February and can be pre-saved here.
