Hertfordshire 5-piece set to release the soundtrack of the summer.
2024 has been a massive year for LOCK-IN who consist of brothers Benjy (Vocals) and Joe (lead guitar) Leak; Angus Moore (guitar), Sam Collins (bass) and Ollie Stacey (drums). From the release of their new EP On To The Next; their biggest headline show to date at Lafayette, to a storming headline show on the This Feeling stage at Isle Of Wight festival before playing their biggest festival slot to date on the market stage at Truck Festival with So Young Magazine. To top it all off they’ve got a huge headline show to follow in October: more on that later.
Sun Kiss is set to be the soundtrack of the summer that we’ve all been waiting for. It’s packed with a highly infectious melody, vivacious energy and catchy guitar hooks that will have you toe tapping along in an instant.
Lyrically this track continues a trend of being packed with nostalgic references (Teenager; Vandross; Red Stripe Remedy): sun-soaked afternoons in beer gardens, the exhilaration of music festivals, and the simple joys of long, carefree days.

It’s energetic with great hookable riffs and a huge singalong chorus that will be stuck in your head whilst the lyrics “but oh oh summer, summer nights, sun kiss baby it’s something nice, but go go lover and cast your strike, hit a home run and your living your best life”.
The stunning instrumentals are a joy throughout with great hooks, rumbling basslines and groovy drum beats proving the track with plenty of energy and drive. But there’s a real standout moment, around the 3 minute mark, where the pace drops, and the song is driven by Benjy’s melodic and anthemic vocal and piano strokes, which have a real dance vibe to them (re-mix version anyone) before exploding into a final rendition of the infectious chorus complete with stunning guitar hooks and ‘wo’ ‘wo’.
With each release, and gig they play, LOCK-IN, continue to take the UK indie scene by storm. The tracks instant and infectious charm is sure to be a hit with fans and newcomers to the band.
Sun Kiss is a glorious indie pop gem that will leave the listener both mesmerised and uplifted in equal measure. The stage is now set for LOCK-IN to sweep all before them and into the big time.
