Hertfordshire indie rockers, LOCK-IN played a storming set at London’s Lafayette on Saturday night (27.04.24), which will propel them onto the biggest of stages over the next 12 months and beyond.

Playing to a sold out crowd, LOCK-IN had the crowd in the palm of their hand from the first beat to the last. Opening up with fan favourite, Red Stripe Remedy, the scene was quickly set for a riotous performance, that had the crowd singing along word for word throughout.

The band rattled through their set, ensuring that the night was one big party. Vandross and Sweet Love sounded meatier than on record whilst Onto The Next and debut single Teenager produced the biggest singalong of the night.

In frontman Benjy Leak, LOCK-IN possess the most charismatic frontman in the indie scene right now. His melodic and heartfelt vocal is the focal point of the bands sound, but it’s the way he engages and captivates the crowd to his every move that is most impressive. From leading the “LOCK-IN are massive chant” strutting his way across the stage, to his party piece: crowd surfing, ensures every person in the audience were transfixed by his energy and he has the crowd in the palm of his hand.

The band’s overall sound is tight and there ever growing confidence is there for all to see. It’s held together by the mighty rhythm section of Sam Collins (bass), Ollie Stacy (drums) and guitarists Angus Moore and Joe Leak, to produce a slick set that’s note perfect.
