Tax Party are a newly formed trio hailing from Liverpool. The band formed with the ambition to write music that resonates with the listener, mainly high energy rock n roll with meaningful lyrics that will leave you wanting more. With a string of soon to be announced gigs in place throughout 2024, the band are determined to make a mark through their energetic live shows and eye catching music.
Their debut single Feel So Bad is set for release on Friday 15th March and it’s a high octane, out and out banger that is a huge statement of intent.
It comes racing out of the blocks with an energetic guitar riff that really hooks you. Pounding drums and a thunderous bass line provide some bite.
The vocal is strong and really melodic and the blistering guitar riffs and drums keep the song driving forward.
Coming in at just over 2 minutes, you think you know what you are getting. However, there’s a real clever drop off in the tempo, around the 1min 30 mark, which momentarily allows you to take a breather. It’s full of crashing cymbals and the build up of guitars and bass lines, before crashing back into that irresistible infectious guitar riff and the melodic vocal for a final spin of the chorus. It’s a real clever bit of musicianship and shows that Tax Party are set to become a force to be reckoned with.
This is a fantastic debut single from Tax Party, it’s full of attitude, swagger, drive and energy. It packs a real punch and as I said it’s a huge statement of intent. Turn this one up loud as you’ll be hard pressed to find a better debut this year.
