The Shed Project return with their heartfelt and emotional new single I’ve Got The Blues.

The 5-piece from Bolton, formed in 2018 and consist of Roy Fletcher (vocals), Tim Burke (Bass) John Ratcliffe (Rhythum Guitar) Tim Stott (Lead Guitar), Shane Mckenna (Drums) have released 12 singles and two albums (The Curious Mind Of The Common Man and Our Fear Is Their Power), becoming one of the hardest working artists on the indie scene.

In addition they’ve played sold out gigs at iconic venues such as The Water Rats (described by frontman as“the best gig we’ve ever done” and “an out of body experience”), The Jacaranda and Audio earning fantastic praise from gig goers and also bagged themselves a prestigious support slot with Skylights in Manchester.

Their new single I’ve Got The Blues featured on Our Fear Is There Power, but has undergone a transformation for the bands first single release of 2024.

I’ve Got The Blues is a spine tingling and beautiful ballad. It’s dominated by by a piano, strings and Roy’s haunting, passionate vocal in the first verse.

Verse two sees the drums and a glorious guitar riff, that has a nod to Oasis join in, which turns into a modern day anthem. Roy says this is the best song he has written and you can see why. It’s a personal track, about two friends who were taken too young. It’s sung with plenty of emotion and passion.

“This song is probably one of the best, but hardest songs I’ve ever written, it’s been like therapy really, Rex, Swede and I were like brothers and to lose them both so young and in such a short amount of time has broken so many hearts”

Roy Fletcher

However on this single edit, there’s a twist. The band have added a female vocalist in KD and the result of the harmonies is simply stunning and will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up.

I’ve Got The Blues is heart wrenching and emotional, whilst remaining truly relatable. It’s packed full of The Shed Project’s trademark passion and honesty. This is a band that you cannot ignore any longer. They are the real deal and this song proves it.

I’ve Got The Blues is set for release on Friday 23rd February and can be pre-saved here.
