VO!D are an alternative rock project hailing from Liverpool that’s locked, loaded and ready to take aim at the status quo.
Infusing elements of heavy rock, blues & classic metal combined with unapologetically, self-aware lyrics, VO!D are ready to shake things up and break the mould in the underground rock scene.
Dotted Line is the bands debut single and it’s a unique take on the age old story of the big bad, coercing the desperate ones into signing their life away without any true idea of what’s to come.
A sleazy blues guitar riff starts the song off before a pounding drum beat kicks in, accompanied by a thumping bass line, which has all of the 70s classic rock undertones with a modern touch.
The guitars wail throughout, leaving you marvelling at the classy musicianship on display.
The unedited version of the track (the band are releasing a radio edit too) builds to a stunning crescendo, led by a sizzling guitar solo that’s explosive and energetic. The change in pace allows the each member to express their skill, without overpowering the other and sees Vo!D run with the sound of their influences to create a modern rock sound.
Dotted Line is a mightily impressive debut that sounds excellent. The freshness of the debut will live long in the memory and will leave you excited for what’s to come.
