SAHAJi are an exciting Japanese rock’n’roll band poised to make a big mark in the British music industry. Expect big epic soaring choruses with melodies harking back to classic 90’s brit pop bangers with a modern twist. Influenced by Oasis, Tom Petty, The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix, the Sahaji brothers have been honing their sound since their early songs were recognised at a YAMAHA Music audition in Japan. This led to various magazine covers and their songs being used in TV ads across Asia.
Having already supported Andrew Cushin on his UK tour, they are set to embark on a UK tour kicking off with a show at the legendary Water Rats in London on 12th Jan, along with Nigel Clark (Dodgy) and The 355s
In 2022, after catching the ear of legendary Britpop producer Nick Brine (Oasis, The Stone Roses, Coldplay), SAHAJi signed to Flip Flop Records and are set to release a series of EPs with a full album launch in August.
Future in The Sky, the lead track from the debut EP, is released on January 12th and is available as a limited four track physical CD release. The songs are already making waves on social media.
ThisIsTheMusic are extremely privileged and proud to unveil the music video for Future In The Sky. The video was shot on the white cliffs of Dover and with the concept being that SAHAJi have come to the UK to become rocknroll stars. They’ve certainly embraced mod culture and I’m the process have evoked vivid memories of the iconic mod movie Qdadraphenia.
Future In The Sky is a powerful ballad about love and the excitement surrounding a new relationship as detailed in the powerful chorus lyrics.
“Somewhere I can find love, Somewhere You can find love, I believe in future, Future in the sky, I believe in future, Future in the sky, This is a happiness”

The soaring guitar riffs are epic, providing the song with plenty of energy and highlights the quality of musicianship on display, which has been captured perfectly by Nick Brine.
The influences of the 90s Britpop are evident throughout the track but SAHAJi have well and truly put their own mark on that era. It’s easy to see why they are being tipped to have a big impact on the British music scene.
Future In The Sky is released on Friday 12th January and is available to buy on limited edition CD here.
