Liverpool blues rock artist NEVEN is set to release his new single How Are We? on Friday 5th January.
A solo acoustic performer originally from Serbia and now based in Liverpool, NEVEN spent several years being a drummer in numerous rock bands, and studying orchestral percussion at Faculty of Music Belgrade, before turning back to his very first love – the guitar.
2023 was a jam packed with gigs for NEVEN, playing a LEMAN event with Edgar Jones at Round the Corner, before gracing the stage at some of Liverpool’s iconic music venues, such as The Cavern Club, The Cavern Pub, Kazimier Stockroom, the Philharmonic Pub, Jimmy’s, and has been warmly welcomed by respective audiences.
How Are We? is a raw lo-fi blues rock anthem, full of riffs that is sure to make you move and grab your attention from the very beginning.
The song is driven by a dirty guitar riff, punchy drum beats and an infectious melody.
The instrumentals are fantastic along with a vocal performance that will have you really listening to the words, that poke a little fun at the local phrase How Are We. However, the song carries a deeper message: namely encouraging the listener to start talking instead of bottling up your feelings. A topic that will be relatable too many.
Neven’s second single is a real joy and he has created something very powerful that will quite rightly gain Neven an abundance of new fans. With songs like this, Neven has a very promising future.
How Are We? Is released on Friday 5th January and can be pre-saved here.
