Leicester 4-piece BILlOBUCKERS round off their monumental breakthrough year with the release of their debut EP Eloquently Common, set for release on Friday 22nd December.
The band which consists of, Billy Buckler (vocals and guitar), Callum Martin (Bass and backing vocals), Alistair Tomlinson (Lead Guitar) and George Blay (Drums) have grown organically through word of mouth, racking up close to 13k Spotify streams and earning plenty of acclaim at a series of headline and support gigs throughout the year as a result of their energetic performances and songs that really strike a chord, about nights out, partying and the inevitable hangover that ensures.
The debut EP has been planned for the best of a couple of years and with a recent recording session completed at Magic Garden Studios with Gavin Monaghan, 2024 is set to be the year that BILLOBUCKERS take things up another level.

It’ll Be Alright is upbeat and extremely catchy from the very beginning and is a huge statement of intent. Powerful vocals, infectious melodies and great storytelling form the basis of the track and you just know that this is a band you can believe on.
Where You’re From starts off with a rhythmic guitar pattern and a spoken word vocal delivery, before bursting into a punchy indie rocker with euphoric guitar melodies and rousing drum beats.
Sweat And Alchopops is an energetic, swaggering and highly addictive anthem, that leaves a lasting impression. It is driven by the captivating, hook-able guitar riffs that immediately grab your attention and an infectious melody. The relatable lyrics, evoke memories of The Streets anthem, Fit But You Know It: Late nights; Alcopops; Being young and free, that will have you singing along to at the of your voice.
Life For Me is and upbeat and energetic head-tapper, that is full of glorious uplifting melodies and great musicianship. The vocal is mainly spoken, which adds a unique dynamic to the songs theme of coming to terms with hangovers and the associated flashbacks and horrors the following morning.
Time To Change will get its first airing on the EP and packs a real punch with its unbridled energy, infectious guitar hooks whilst effortlessly moving along at a fast pace. The guitar solo is epic and intertwines with the rumbling bass lines. Lyrically the song looks at recognising the time to change your lifestyle when the fun has ended for those late nights.
Eloquently Common is a fantastic debut EP from BILLOBUCKERS. It’s rich and vibrant throughout and set against the backdrop of class musicianship, that shows off the band’s talents, and relatable lyrics about nights on the town and the inevitable comedown. This EP confirms the talent and undoubted promise that exists within this exciting rocknroll band and shows why they are one’s to watch 2024.
