Hartlepool 4-piece end exciting breakthrough year on a high

2023 has been a fantastic break through year for Northern Hospitality. From the release of their first two singles, to supporting Pete Dohertyat a sold-out KU Bar, to playing to massive crowds at both Tall Ships and Gathering Sounds festival, the band are now set to bring out their third single of the year Don The Balaclava and it’s their best single yet.

In just a few months, Northern Hospitality, consisting of Gaz Price (Guitar and vocals); Georgia Smith (drums); Nico Mouissie (Bass); and Sean McCloskey (Lead Guitar); have gained the acclaim of fans and critics and established themselves as one of the most exciting bands emerging from the north east.

The new single Don The Balaclava, is due for release on Friday 8th December and it’s bursting with punk energy and is relentless from start to finish.

You are immediately hit with a biting guitar riff, which, supported with the pounding drums and bouncing bass line, drives the song along at a thunderous pace. I would imagine this song is a live favourite thanks to the energy that runs throughout the song.

Gaz, spits and snarls the vocal with added venom and aggression, and the guitar riffs just add to that aggression.

The track builds to a crescendo, led by the biting guitar riff and finishes off in a haze of fuzz and distortion and trying to restore some calm to proceedings.

Northern Hospitality are completely unleashed with malicious intent. Every song sounds like an anthem, bursting with energy and they are undoubtedly one of the most exciting bands to have emerged this year. 2024 can’t come quick enough for a band who will climb up the indie scene ladder very quickly.

Don The Balaclava is released on Friday 8th December and can be pre-saved here.
