Rising Liverpool solo star, Fiona Lennon returns with her powerful new single Dreaming, which is set for release on Friday 17th November.
Since 2021, Fiona has released a plethora of singles that have been extremely well received (including A Little Longer; You’ve Really Got A Hold Of Me and Stay High) and seen her fan base grow organically through word of mouth. Each single has showcased Fiona’s fantastic songwriting ability from memorable choruses to moving ballads that pull at the heartstrings. Each song is built around her powerful, soulful vocal that you could quite easily listen to for hours on end.
2023 has been Fiona’s best year to date, and has really captured people’s attention who have missed her steady rise over the past two years.
This year has seen the release of her 3rd single, supported Jamie Webster and made her debut at a Major UK festival when she played Y NOT Festival and seen her make some serious inroads in the process.
Inbetween she’s been rehearsing relentlessly with her band consisting of Jack Lennon on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jack McCabe on piano and backing vocals, Sean Burns on drums and Elliot Chinnock on bass.
Dreaming is a captivating folk-rock infused song and is a song of the year contender.
It’s full of memorable melodies and dreamy electric guitars that draw comparison with Fleetwood Mac. The catchy chorus is powerful and really showcases Fiona’s stunning, passionate and emotive vocal.
Lyrically this song touches on unrequited love and relationships and details the story of a love that never reaches its potential.
Dreaming is a beautiful ballad and in addition to those dreamy guitars is driven by the drums and bass and the addition of piano strokes are a real joy and add a sprinkling of gold dust to proceedings, making for a rich tapestry of sound.
Fiona Lennon is a fantastic singer and songwriter and Dreaming will well and truly leave its mark. The sky is the limit for this once in a generation talent.
