The 76 Club return with energetic and punchy second single Beside Myself.
The 76 Club, formed in Burton on Trent in 2022 by Joel Colmey (Lead Guitar) and Riley Gillard (Drums), took their name from The 76 Club the infamous nightclub from their hometown, which has proven to be a source of inspiration. They soon added Rocco Jones (Bass), Harry Barlow (Rhythm Guitar) and Anna Milne (Vocals) to become a 5 piece, spending the year rehearsing and playing live to perfect their sound. Their debut single Envy You released in July, has amassed 4,456 Spotify streams at the time of writing and has left a lasting impression around the Midlands.
Beside Myself was recorded at the Albion Rooms in Margate, and it’s packed full of energy and punchy guitars and ensured the band were able to capture the chemistry of their live shows in the recording.
Starting off with a rhythmic cymbal playing and a groovy bass line, Beside Myself is a song that is instantly hypnotic and will be stuck in your head.
The emotive verses are driven by the groovy bass line and a simple strumming guitar pattern, before leading us into an explosive and energetic chorus that sees Anna’s vocal really shine.
Anna’s vocal is fantastic, melodic and full of emotion with a brilliant range and is delivered in style. Whilst the vocal is the songs ultimate focal point, it provides the rest of the band with enough space to show their class.
The 76 Club have followed up their impressive debut with a superb second single that shows exactly why they are a band to get excited about.
