Hartlepool indie rockers Northern Hospitality return with scintillating second single, Runaway Like Me.
Having released their debut single To Be Free, a high energy swaggering rocknroll track, the 4-piece, consisting of Gaz Price (vocals and rhythm guitar) David Wilcox (Druns), Nico Mouissie (Bass) and Sean Mccloskey (Lead guitar), have blown the door off its hinges and gained a load of new followers in the process.
Northern Hospitality’s new single installed hits you with an energetic guitar riff and has a punk edge with the anthemic feel of Britpop.
The vocal is strong. Gaz spits and snarls the lyrics with real venom and aggression, which are backed with those punchy guitar riffs, pounding drums and bitting baselines. Even though the song has that punk vibe about it, the melody is catchy and will have you foot stamping from the first beat to the last.
“Runaway Like Me” is a force of nature. A personal journey of resilience and escape through the eyes of the beholder. Leaving behind who you were, to become who you were always meant to be.
Runway Like Me builds to a class guitar solo that adds further drive and energy to the track, before a final chorus kicks in ahead of the outro, which is pulsating with energy and ends in wave of distortion and sounds ready made for stadiums that is surely where this band are heading.
Runaway Like Me is a scintillating track that screams attitude, energy and has plenty of swagger. It packs a real punch and you should turn the volume up to the max. I’m really excited by Northern Hospitality and this new single is going to make people stand up and take notice,
Runaway Like Me is released on Friday 29th September and can be pre-saved here.
