It’s A High, is The Shop Windows first release from their highly anticipated 3rd album Daysdream, which will a double album, released in early 2024.
The album will split into two parts. The ‘Days’ side is filled with summer jangle, and the ‘Dream’ with melancholic melodies. The album will be available for pre-order on Friday 18th August.
It’s A High is firmly on the “Days” part and is what The Shop Window do best. It’s the bands first release on their own record label “Talking Shop Records” and with guitarist and singer Carl Mann, taking the producing, recording and mixing the album, The Shop Window have gone 100% DIY.
It’s full of the bands trademark jangly guitar hooks and has a real feel good vibe about it and is perfect for those summer days that we are finally getting.
“Love can be a bit of a rollercoaster. An adrenaline fuelled ride of twists and turns. It’s frenetic and charged with a heady mix of those moments where you laugh, scream and you want to just get off. It’s about the best highs ever and doing it all whilst holding the hand of ‘that’ someone.”

It’s their poppiest sounding single to date and is a real foot stomper full of groove and a swagger.
I’m a big fan of the 60s vibe on the song and the horn section in the outro is just sublime.
It’s A High is a majestic song that really hits the spot and builds the anticipation and excitement ahead of the bands third studio. I for one cannot wait.
