Pray is the forthcoming new single from Liverpool 5-piece This Is War, a guitar driven anthem, that evokes memories of peak Manic Street Preachers.
Forming in late 2021, This Is War consist of: Paul Carden (vocals); Mike Mullard (Guitar and backing vocals); Jonny Roberts (Guitar) Gianluca Rizzoli (Bass) and Martyn Leah (Drums) and crashed into the public domain by releasing 12 songs across the year, full of energy, huge guitar riffs and thunderous bass lines. This led to the bands producer and ex The Verve member Si Jones, hailing Paul Carden as one of the top 5 singers he has ever heard. Other high profile fans include former Liverpool and England footballers, Jamie Carragher and Robbie Fowler.
Earlier on this year, the band signed to the ever growing, Bubblebrain Records in Jersey, and also released their debut EP Rotten (which you can read about here).
Pray is due for release on Friday 18th August and sees the Liverpool rockers, build upon the momentum built up over the past 18 months and release a track full of swagger.
The track instantly hits you with its drive and energy, a melodic guitar riff and trademark pounding drums grab your attention and you just know that this song is going to be fantastic.

You can hear exactly why Si Jones rates Paul Cordon so highly. The vocal is full of emotion and is really strong and is the focal point of the song, which is really emphasised in the chorus.
Pray really captures exactly what This Is War! are all about. Energetic, upbeat rocknroll anthems that will blow you away and leave you wanting more. It’s a great tune that is instantly relatable and will have people instantly toe taping along to.
