Sheffield 4-piece return with scintillating new single.
LUNARCA are a four piece band from Sheffield consisting of Connor Berry (vocals); Elliot Britton (guitar); Jasper Elliott (bass) and Kyle Sherwin (drums). Their debut single, Living As Me, was released last year, along with the stupendous Runaway, which really made people stand up and take notice. Both tracks have a nod to the 60s, with the band putting their own stamp on that era.
After a run of festival dates this year, including Reading & Leeds as well as Tramlines Crystal stage, LUNARCA are soon to announce their hometown debut headline gig on 24th November at Sidney & Matilda.
The new single, Touch of Gold is released on Friday 11th August and is a scintillating release that will have you wanting more.
Whilst the bands trademark, 60s sound is very much prevalent, Touch of Gold, sees the Sheffield 4-piece release a slightly heavier sounding track, which they’ve pulled off with relative ease.
Opening with a bouncing and catchy guitar riff before a slight pause before a thumping drum beat and vocal kicks in
The harmonies in the bridge and chorus, really add to Connor’s snarling vocals captures the mood and theme of the song: being frustrated of being overlooked.
‘Touch Of Gold’ is a real anger-built track which captures the frustration of being overlooked. Though there’s a constant reminder of hope ‘Nothings grey with the touch of gold.’ This song sums up the state of the world and I feel that a lot of people will relate to that”

The short guitar riffs in the verses add a sense of drama and tension to the song, before the guitars explode to take centre stage in the chorus.
The songs outro builds into a wall of screaming guitar solos, which sounds like The Who and will have the hairs on the back of your neck standing up.
Touch of Gold is a great tune. It’s an instant rocknroll classic that will have you bouncing around. They’ve tapped into legacies of the great eras of music from the jangly 60s melody, 70s style heavy guitar riffs and the swagger of the 90s, they’ve put their own stamp on them to release something that is truly mesmerising and hypnotic. On Touch of Gold, LUNARCA have well well and truly shown that they are the real deal.
Touch Of Gold is due for release on Friday 11th October and can be pre-saved here.
