Salford indie rockers The Height are set to release their brand new single One To Another on Friday 4th August and it’s an absolute banger of a track.
The Salford trio, formed in late summer 2022 and consist of John Denton on Vocals/Lead Guitar, Brandon Greenalgh on Bass and Ted Ellis on Drums and have released 3 singles to date: Nowhere; Go and Control, each track raising the bands profile and increasing their following in the process and, if that wasn’t enough they’ve caught the attention of the legendary The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr who awarded lead vocalist/guitarist John Denton the first ever ‘The Salford Foundation Trust Johnny Marr Award’.
The new single One To Another is released on Friday 4th August and sees John, Brandon and Ted on fine form.
You are immediately hit with a infections and high energy guitar riffs and hooks that will be immediately stuck in your head, before John’s melodic and ever confident vocal joins in and soars above the roar energy that the band creates.
“This is a real banger which we wrote being a teenager and not really fitting in with the fortnight playing, x-box addicted, Tiktokswiping culture. When you’re not into all that you can be a bit of an outsider but there’s a whole loads of kids just like us who love music and creating brilliant tunes. We’re delighted that Salford City have decided to chose this track to launch their new kit and we hope it begins a bit of an anthem in Salford!”
The Height
The confidence in the playing of Brandon and Ted is there for all to see through the thunderous bass lines and powerful drumming that provides the perfect backdrop for this anthem.
One To Another is highly addictive and an absolute banger. For a group so young their sound is so accomplished and they just ooze class.
The Height continue to get better with each release and One To Another sounds like a band who are having the time of their lives in the studio. The sky is the limit.. although I doubt that will stop them!
