Fiona Lennon is a rising singer/songwriter from Liverpool who has just announced details of her new dreamy single Stay High.
The new single is Fiona’s first new music since the release 2021s A Little Longer and You’ve Really Got A Hold On Me, which to date have amassed over 12k Spotify Streams and have been warmly received by bloggers and radio stations across the UK.
Fiona spent 2022, writing new material and playing live, including her debut UK festival performance (Isle of Wight) and also putting together a live band, that consists of: Fiona Lennon on lead vocal and acoustic guitar, Jack Lennon on lead guitar and backing vocals, Jack McCabe on piano and backing vocals, Sean Burns on drums and Elliot Chinnock on bass.
Since coming together, the band have played a number of gigs and have now marked new territory, as the Liverpool songstress has recorded with a full band for the first time. The result is a dreamy folk pop masterclass that oozes total class and shows exactly why Fiona Lennon is one of the most exciting emerging artists in the UK.
The track was written from the perspective of someone going through a break up but wishing someone well and is something that many will be able to resonate with.
As with Fiona’s previous releases, the song is driven by her fantastic heartfelt that’s bursting with emotion and a sense of vulnerability in the tone.
The arrangement of the track with strumming guitars, soft keys and a drum pattern that pulls everything together, allows Fiona’s voice to take centre stage and shows what a fantastic songwriter she is.
Stay High is a dreamy and melodic new single from Fiona, whose star continues to rise with every release and shows exactly why she has established herself as one of the most exciting emerging artists in the UK. Remember the name as Fiona Lennon is going to be a superstar.
Stay High is released on Friday 26th May and is available to pre-save here
