London based 6-piece Albion are set to release their latest single Wonderfully Human this Friday (12th May), which follows hot on the heels of their extremely well received single Nothing Matters.
The new single sees the band shift their sound completely into something that is unique and delivered with the utmost attention to detail to create a fantastic sound that wouldn’t sound out of place in a music hall.
The song is soaked in dark lyricism relating to the grittier, grim nature of humanity and is a deliberate and cynical look within. The lyrics are in complete contrast to the music, which in particular makes you want to swing around arm in arm with someone.

The track starts off with a haunting piano piece and guitar hooks, which add to the melancholy theme. The vocal on the track is exceptional, it’s emotional, mournful and expressive and is backed by the tight rhythm section which the track is built around.
The pace quickens up as we hit the chorus, where we see the sublime keys become the focal point of the song. It’s really uplifting, contrasting with the songs verses perfectly.
Wonderfully Human is a fantastic piece of music and the attention to detail and quality of musicianship within the band is very much on display here. It’s great to see the variation to the bands highly impressive back catalogue. I’m very much looking forward to seeing what’s in store next.
