Hull 4 piece Backyard Casino (or BYC to their fans) consisting of James McEwen (vocals and guitar), Gareth Brown (guitar), Ash Wray (bass) and Daryl Collinson (drums) return with a high octane rocknroll new single that will have you bouncing off the walls.
My Pleasure, which is due for release on Friday 5th May, sees the band build upon the momentum built with Nine Lives and ultimately seal the band’s status as of the most exciting bands emerging on the new music scene.
You are instantly hit with a energetic guitar riff that will pull you in and have you bouncing off the walls in an instant. The pounding drums and bass line give the song a punk feel.
Daryl’s thumping drumming is glorious and provides the song’s relentless energy whilst driving the song along at a blistering pace.
James’ vocal is so strong and powerful, with plenty of aggression, passion and a real Rocknroll star quality. The ease in which he reaches the higher notes is something to behold and adds further weight that BYC are well on the road to becoming a serious contender on the new music scene.
The whole track builds to a crescendo with a scintillating and swaggering guitar solo, that is reminiscent of Oasis in their prime, offering the song one last rush of pulsating energy.
My Pleasure is a big, belting memorable banger. Turn this one up as loud as you can as it’s a song that screams attitude, has plenty of swagger and will ensure Backyard Casino explode into 2023 and beyond.
