Rising Scottish solo star Callum Gibson returns with first release of 2023.
Callum Gibson is a rising singer/songwriter hailing from Dundee in Scotland. He has released 4 singles since 2021, with each single gaining great recognition and streams than the last and seen Callum establish himself as an exciting prospect. 2023 is set to be his big breakthrough year.
Gaslight marks new territory for the Dundee songwriter as for the first time ever Callum is backed with a full band and the result is stunning.
The track is full of catchy guitar hooks, a great melody, a huge singalong chorus and a fantastic display of drumming. It’s a real foot taper.
You are instantly hit with the sweeping guitar riffs, before Callum’s fantastic vocal full of emotion and passion becomes the focal point of the song.
The subject of the song will be an experience that will relatable to many and despite the songs subject matter, has a triumphant and huge singalong chorus, which turns this experience around into a positive.
“My gaslight, when I think I’m getting better, well I hope I’m getting better for you”
It’s a real uplifting track and once you hear it will be stuck in your head. The song has a great energy and the chorus will have you singing along at the top of your voice.
The guitar hooks, keep you hooked and the guitar solo that forms the songs outro showcases the talent that exists in the band.
Gaslight represents Callum’s first foray with a full band behind him and the result is truly spectacular. I’m really excited to see where this new era in Callum’s solo career takes him, as I believe he will be a force to reckon with.
