Seekers are set to release their debut single Modern Guy on Sunday 30th April a swaggering and highly addictive rocknroll anthem.

Seekers are a young rocknroll band from Leeds who formed in August 2021, when Lewis Caines (Lead Guitarist ) and Jude Allison (Rhythm Guitar and Vocal) got together for some jam sessions, through mutual friends (despite going to the same school they didn’t know each other) before adding drums and bass to the line up in December of the same year. Since then members have come and gone, before Billy Memphis (Bass) and Adam Gillibrand (drums) joined the line up.

Throughout 2022 the band have been rehearsing and recording relentlessly in Lewis’ loft, truly embracing the DIY spirit on this their debut release.

The debut single Modern Guy, is full of high energy riffs and hooks, pounding drumming and thunderous bass lines with a snarling vocal that spits the lyrics with plenty of aggression and intent and delivered in a the vein of Liam Gallagher.

Modern Guy screens attitude, energy and drive will go down an absolute storm when it’s released.

It’s a highly addictive song, and the guitar riffs and hooks are full of swagger that gives off the triumphant feel of the early Oasis Bsides when they they were the best band on the planet.

Talking of Bsides, Seekers are set to include a Bside along with the release. Amy is an acoustic ballad that shows shows a soft and tender side to the band. The vocal is truly mesmerising, there’s a hint of Kelly Jones in the delivery. The song is about love and the feelings you get from being in love.

“I want you knocking at my doorstep, in a dream I never know, You’ve got me wrapped round your finger tips my lover”

Modern Guy fantastic debut single from Seekers and you’ll struggle to find a better debut single this year. It’s hard hitting, explosive, full of energy and a real statement of intent of what’s to come. I am really excited about this band and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the band next!!

Modern Guy is released on Sunday 30 April and can be pre-saved here.
