The Rafters are an East Lancashire Punk Rock four piece band consisting of Nathan Griffiths (Lead vocals and guitar) Ryan McDermott (Bass), Joe Roscow (Guitar) and Josh Greenwood (Drums).

Forming in 2019, the band have released 5 singles to date and had their debut single Slippin Away featuring on the goals segment of Soccer AM.

The new single, What’s It All About? follows hot on the heels of Busy Man and sees the band build upon the momentum that they’ve built up over the past few months, including gigs with This Feeling, March of The Mods in Blackpool and the announcement of being added to Darwen Live which features indie legends The View.

What’s it All About? Demands to be heard and has a real punk edge to it. The song explodes into life from the outset with thumping bass lines, pounding drums and an infectious guitar riff that is guaranteed to have you bouncing up and down.

The song is full of energy and is relentless in its pace and its punchy guitars just add the relentless intensity of the,

The opening lyric really sets the theme of the song and sees frontman Nathan Griffin spit the lyrics out with plenty of venom, that could be aimed at anyone in a position of power, and questions everything, Why are we here?, What’s really going on? What’s It All About?

“Roll right up and step right in, roll up your sleeves cos it’s time to begin, the circus is open but the clowns are all mine, just hang up your costume on the washing line provided”

What’s It All About is a superb single that will instantly grab your attention from the get go and showcases the excellent musicianship on display within the band. The Rafters are starting to build up an impressive head of steam and are certainly a band to keep an eye on. Every release is one that I look forward to hearing and this is another exciting release that sets the band not afraid to ask big questions!

What’s It All About? is released on Friday 31st March and will be available across all steaming snd download platforms. Tune into the Rise of The Indie Artists show on Future Hits Radio from 7pm on Thursday 30th March where we will be playing the new single!
