John Patterson is an acoustic guitarist and singer-songwriter from North Shields and has been on the local music scene for some time creating a loyal following.
His debut single Forevermore was released in 2021, which was a real emotive and heartfelt love song.
His new single, Hit The Town, has been featuring in John’s live set since he finished writing it last year and the wait has been worth it.
Hit The Town is an fast paced upbeat song and has a real infectious melody that will be instantly stuck in your head.
The song will be relatable to us all. It’s about living for the weekend after a week at work and enjoying yourself on a Friday and Saturday night when you ‘Hit The Town’ with your mates.
“Cos when the clock hits 5 on a Friday night I’m revitalised and tonight I’m gunna hit the town, hit the town, I’m gunna rock around”
Having hit the town and ending up with the inevitable killer hangover, the song writing reflects back on the fantastic time that everyone had, before planning to hit the town all over again.
Hit The Town is a great catchy pop song that is certain to get your feet tapping and head nodding and is a real feel good tune.
