Liverpool 5-piece Korova have released their debut single , Mind Enhancer and it’s a real statement of intent.
The band formed in 2022, initially as a 4 piece, and consisted of Connor Lally (Lead singer and rhythm guitar) Liam Canning (Lead guitar) Elliot ragsdale (drums) Anthony Hogg (bass). A few months later the band added Cassie Gerrard (Keys and vocals) to complete the line up.
Mind Enhancer was recorded with The Heavy North guitarist Jose Ibanez at 3rd Planet Studios in Liverpool and the result is simply stunning.
Kicking off with a rhythmic bassline, before a melodic guitar hook joins in which provides the song with a captivating and atmospheric sound.
The drums pick the tempo up and there are plenty of different drumming patterns within the track, which give a great demonstration of the quality of musicianship on show (and within the rest of the band).
The melodic guitar hooks drive the song on, providing the track with its energy and really supplements expressive vocal which is packed full of emotion.

This is an exciting debut single as you are likely to hear this year. It’s deep, resonating and full of emotion and entices you to keep listening. I can’t wait to see what Korova have got lined up next!
