Rebel Run Jay Tennant

Jay Tennant is a solo star that demands to be heard. He has released 3 solo albums to date, which includes the excellent Forever Roses and has received recognition from Radio X legend John Kennedy.

One of the many things that I live about Jay is his willingness to keep his music fresh and exciting whilst retaining his trademark passion and intensity.

Rebel Run is a real hard-hitting anthem, that crashes in with huge synths, backed by stomping drums. This is an epic song that is full throttle and will get you well and truly riled up.

Jay’s powerful vocal is well and truly on display here and it takes the listener on a breathtaking night ride that remains personal (and truly relatable) whilst racing through a series of cultural and cinematic characters/references (Action Man, Steve McQueen to name check just a few), including the iconic line from the cult classic Blade Runner.

The song flows beautifully and with its catchy melody this sounds like a cross between then anthemic 80s and the darker side of the 90s.

The guitar hooks sparkle and dovetail with the synths magically and really make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

One of the Jay’s traits is writing a chorus that gets stuck in your head, and Rebel Run ticks that box

“They say there’s lust in your brains and passion in your eyes like tears in the rain, the rain”

The synth riff kicks back in towards the end of the song leading us into the final chorus and it has a euphoric feel about it. You can imagine gig-goers or club goers losing themselves in the moment with limbs and pints flying all over the place.

Rebel Run is a fantastic track that sees Jay Tennant’s passion and love for music shine through. It’s a track that is powerful and jam-packed with singalong moments and is a song that you just can’t ignore.

Tune into Future Hits radio on Thursday 30th March from 7pm to hear Rebel Run.

Rebel Run is due for release on Friday 31st March and can be pre-saved here
