The Resolve are a 5 piece indie rocknroll band from Kent and are set to release their 3rd single Feelings.
Having formed in 2019, as Paisley Park, the 5-piece (consisting of James Cox – Drums; Chris Regan – Bass guitar; Matt Kemp – Rhythm guitar; Simon Hawkins – Lead guitar / backing vocals and Tom Wiltshire – Vocals) played local venues and festivals as a covers band, with an emphasis on playing songs from the swinging 60s, the 90s and the 00s. They quickly built up a fan base through word of mouth and delivering high energy sets.
Fast forward to early 2022 and the band started writing their own original tunes and, released their brilliant double A-Side Satisfy and So You Say, which will form part of the bands debut EP set for release later in the year.
Feelings is a fantastic song, with a real focus on high energy rocknroll and is a song that you won’t be able to ignore.
The opening guitar riffs are really explosive and backed with a thumping drum beat that really drive the song forward.
The melodies are glorious throughout, particularly the verses, which have a Britpop influence.
The anthemic chorus is full of energy, with the vocal full of added aggression and venom, almost early Foo Fighters in sound and style.
“Feelings, I can’t hide, yeah the ones you don’t say, once they’re outside of me”
This is another great single from The Resolve, who in just three releases are carving out a reputation as a great singles band. They’ve mashed up the traditional indie sound with punk rock and have delivered a song that screams attitude and is full of energy. My advice is turn this one up loud as that is exactly how the band want you to listen to it.
Feelings is released on Friday 24th March and will be available across all streaming and download platforms.
