Liverpool’s favourite sons, The Heavy North set to release their epic blues rock anthem!
Where Are You Now? represents the Liverpool bands first new music since the release of their fan and critically acclaimed debut album Electric Soul Machine.
In addition to the release of their debut album, 2022 saw the 6-piece embark on their debut headline tour of the UK across 10 dates, first overseas gig in Gibraltar, performing alongside fellow Merseyside artists The Zutons, Cast, The Boo Radleys and Red Rum Club: The Heavy North ended a landmark year with a with a sold out show at the 500 capacity Arts Club Theatre in Liverpool.
Electric Soul Machine ended up in many of the albums of the year (you can check out our top 10 here), and if that wasn’t enough they were the subject of Tim’s Twitter Listening Party.
Where Are You Now got it’s first outing as part of the bands recent run of gigs for independent venue week and it went down an absolute storm with gig goers.
It’s explosive and full of energy from the very start. You are immediately hit with Jose’s electrifying and heavy bluesy guitar hook and Mark’s thunderous drumming, which will have you immediately toe-tapping and head nodding along.

The rest of the band soon join in with the rumbling bass line and keys keeping the tempo of the song high and will ensure this becomes another fan favourite.
Lyrically the song will be relatable to many as it explores the people who have come and gone in your life and wondering what they are doing now, are they still the same person or have life’s circumstances changed them.
Where Are You Now? is an fantastic song, full of electrifying guitar riffs, high energy, and swagger that sees The Heavy North at the top of their game and show they mean business. With a new album in the works and a big hometown gig in December, The Heavy North are set for an even bigger 2023 and it will be fully deserved.
Where Are You Now? is set to be released on Friday 24th March and can be pre-saved here.
