Osca are a 4 piece rocknroll band hailing from the West Midlands. To date, the band have released 5 singles since 2020 and last years debut EP “How To Live A Lie When The Truth’s Been Told” with each release showing a great level of musicianship, skill and expertise.
A few months ago, the band posed a question to their social media followers to vote for a cover song to release as their next single. The clear winner was the classic All Saints track “Pure Shores”which was originally released back in 2000 gaining the number 1 spot and featuring on the soundtrack for The Beach.
Osca’s version of the track is simply stunning. They’ve taken a classic pop song and well and truly made it into their own. Frontman Zak’s vocal is superb, full of emotion and you just get the feeling that he has put absolutely everything into the vocal. The rest of the bands playing on the track is fantastic and the sound is vibrant with plenty of energy and drive.
The mixing and mastering of the track was undertaken by Apocalypse Studios and they have a done a mightily impressive job.
Pure Shores is sure to be a hit with fans and newcomers to the band alike. With the level of musician on display on this track and the band’s previously released music it’s clear they they are going to be a force to be reckoned with.
Pure Shores is released on Friday 10th August and can be pre-saved here.
