The Columbians are a 4 piece rocknroll band hailing from Wrexham in Wales and consist of Niall Forbes (Rhythm Guitar), Ryan Davies (Bass Guitar) Jay Williams (Lead Guitar/Vocals) and Aidan Nicklin (Drums).
The band released 3 singles in 2022, Gonna Be The One; Reminiscent; and their World Cup song C’mon Cymru; all of which left a considerable mark on writer and are a band that I have well and truly got my eye on for 2023.
Their single, Running For Cover, due for release on Friday 20th January, is an energetic floor filer that will cause absolute mayhem in mosh pits across the country and is certain to get those hips shaking, toes tapping and heads nodding.
Opening with a delicious guitar riff and a thunderous drum beat, Running For Cover explodes out of the blocks at 100mph and doesn’t let up. If you like swaggering rocknroll, then this is exactly the song you need to hear.
Packed full of energetic guitar riffs and hooks, thunderous drumming and ponding bass line and a vocal full of venom and aggression that has Gallagher- esque qualities
The guitar riffs are really euphoric and addictive, shining through and adding a layer of vibrancy to keep you hooked.
Running For Cover is celestial rousing and euphoric. Pure adrenaline – creating rocknroll. I am really excited about this band and can’t wait to see what else they have planned for the future.
