Nova Park set to release second single Alone
Nova Park are a new band on the indie scene, consisting of : Jude Gummerson (singer, guitarist) Martin Whittaker (bassist) Owain Hanford (drums) and Steve Gummerson (keys). Their first single, Go In was released back in September, receiving support from local radio and plenty of great feedback from across the music industry.
With influences ranging from The Beatles, Oasis, Catfish and The Bottlemen and The Lemonheads, Nova Park are guaranteed to deliver catchy indie anthems and, on their new single Alone, they have done exactly that.
The new single Alone starts off with Jude singing and accompanied by his acoustic guitar, before a solid before pounding drum beat ups the tempo and drives the song throughout, along with a punchy bassline. It sounds fantastic and gives each band member a chance to showcase their skills.
The vocal is really strong throughout and blends in perfectly with the classic indie rock sound. The chorus is really anthemtic that will be sung back by the masses.
“I thought I had told you we best leave it a few for the fact you are alone, and all of the times you dealt with it, I knew that it wouldn’t be long”
The chorus is backed up with soaring guitar riffs and a chugging solo, that is fresh and exciting and whilst you can hear the bands influences, they have put their own spin on it, carving out a fantastic sound that will grab you, pull you in and leave you wanting more.
I’m really excited by Nova Park’s latest single. It’s really strong and with a debut EP on the way in early 2023 I can’t wait to see what they’ve got coming next. I highly recommend you give them a listen.
Alone will be released on Friday 2nd December across all streaming and download platforms.
Nova Park are playing a free entry gig at The Jam Factory in Hereford on 15th December supporting Tri-City Fanfare.
