The Resolve are a 5 piece indie rocknroll band from Kent and are set to release their anthemic debut single, the double A-side, Satisfy and So You Say, which were mixed at The Joplin House studio.
Having formed in 2019, as Paisley Park, the 5-piece (consisting of James Cox – Drums; Chris Regan – Bass guitar; Matt Kemp – Rhythm guitar; Simon Hawkins – Lead guitar / backing vocals and Tom Wiltshire – Vocals) played local venues and festivals as a covers band, with songs from the swinging 60s, the 90s and the 00s the band quickly built up a fan base through word of mouth and delivering high energy sets, that had gig goers singing back every single word.
Fast forward to early 2022 and the band started writing their own original tunes and, since early October have been in the studio, recording their debut EP which will consist of original songs and 1 or 2 covers.
Friday 25th November marks the release of their debut double A-side singles, here’s our preview below.
Satisfy has a stomping and energetic groove to it and is pop punk at its finest. It’s packed full of fantastic riffs, pounding drums and a bouncing bass line that drives the song along. The vocal is outstanding, full of passion and the guitar solo ahead of the final chorus will leave you awestruck at the quality of musicianship on display.
So You Say simply explodes out of the blocks with pummelling drums and fuzzy atmospheric guitar riffs. The song features plenty of harmonies, which are both powerful and emotive, which compliment each other perfectly. After the songs explosive start, the pace is turned down a notch, before building into a powerful bridge and chorus that will leave you totally hooked and singing along in an instant. The outro is simply superb and leave you mesmerised almost hypnotised. This is a really addictive track and a fantastic way to end the introduction to the band.
The Resolve have released two stunning singles, that are full of great songwriting and sublime quality. With a debut EP on the way, the Kent 5-piece have made a big statement and will prove to be a huge hit in 2023 and beyond.
Satisfy/So You Say the new debut double A-side single from The Resolve is released on Friday 25th November and will be available to stream and download across all of the usual platforms, including their You Tube channel, which videos for both tracks.
