LOCK-IN follow their explosive festival anthem, Vandross with their new single Sweet Love, which comes as they prepare to play their biggest headline show to date at London’s The Garage in 2023.
Sweet Love is undoubtedly the bands best single to date. Full of the bands trademark energy and spirit and showcases the Hertfordshire based bands determination to provide variety in their tracks and to not rest on their laurels. They strive to deliver a unique sound (which at this point in their fledgling music career can be defined as LOCK-IN), delivering music that they want to and therefore not sound like any other indie band.
The band‘s ever growing confidence (not they were short of it in the first place!) is evident in this track. The guitar hooks are extremely catchy and I love how the chugging melodic bass line that kicks off the track.
Vocally, frontman Benjy delivers his best vocal to date, full of range and depth that sets you up for the songs chorus, more on that to follow.
With it‘s funky vibe, Sweet Love is an anthem that will knock you off your feet as it explores themes of intense young emotion, the band take us on a musical journey which illustrates just what it means to be in (or, in fact, out of) love in the age of the internet and social media.
The bands keen sense of melody is there for all to hear on Sweet Love and you just know that when the song hits the chorus live crowds will be erupting with mayhem – beer will be flying as hands flail in the air.

Speaking on the band’s latest track release, lead single Benjy Leak explained: “This is our biggest release to date! This is more than just a song. This is LOCK-IN”.
As bass player Sam Collins explains, ”Our music continues to mature track after track. As we’re growing, so is our music. We hope that people can, in their own way, relate to the new song & interpret the meaning however they wish. ‘Sweet Love’ is just the start of what’s to come, and we’d love for everyone to come out to our shows this winter, hear the new material and experience the journey with us.”
LOCK-IN are one of the best bands about and Sweet Love is a celestial, rousing and euphoric song. LOCK-IN are set to be the band of their generation.
