Cardiff 3-piece return with punchy riff filled anthem!
With an ambition of doing away with sombre, depressing music and wanting to play something to get you on your feet dancing and feeling that energetic hope of being young, Pacifica have achieved exactly that on their new single Hollow.
Having released their debut and one of the best EPs of 2022 in Orchard Drive, the Cardiff 3-piece return with their rockiest and heaviest tune to date!
The track starts off in a wave of feedback, a chugging and powerful bass line and drums and a spoken word script, which the band got a friend to act out.
The powerful and passionate vocal is fantastic and really becomes the focal point of the track in the chorus as the vocal explodes and is shown in all its glory.
Lyrically the track explores a relationship that’s hit the rocks, with the person described as being “hollow” asking why do you always do this and do you even what this to work. The response “baby you are hollow”.
Hollow has got great energy, drive and is a guitar fuelled display of no holds barred rock. As we said in our preview of their debut EP Orchard Drive, Pacifica are a band that will have you instantly captivated and blown away by each song. They‘ve backed that up and more on their newest release.
Hollow is due to be released on Friday 28th October and will be available on all of the usual streaming and download platforms.
