Liverpool psych, garage rock band return with punchy new single!

Mondo Trasho are back with their first new music 2021’s More Trash EP and it has been well and truly worth the wait!

The band were founded by flatmates, Jay Muat (lead vocals, guitar) and Chris “Moz” Green (Hammond organ) over a mutual love for garage punk bands such as the Cramps and the Flat Duo Jets. The pair have slowly honed their sound by adding new members in the form of Luke Hamilton (bass), Jim Pitchford (drums), and most recently “Mondo number 5”, Dan Mayers (guitar).

Drawing inspiration from 60s garage rock, spaghetti westerns and early 00s “Scousedelia” bands including legends The Coral, Mondo Trasho are one of the most exciting bands emerging on the new music scene.

The new single, Hard Times (That’s Life) is due for release on Friday 28th October and is the first in a string of self-releases that the band have planned for the rest of the year. It  has  received support from Dave Monks (BBC Introducing) and ThisIsTheMusic (Rise of the Indie Artists show on Away Day Radio) and it’s easy to see why it’s an established fan favourite  of the bands live set.

The bands influences of 60s Rhythm and Blues shines through on the track, which features a glorious Hammond Organ solo, which will grab your attention immediately.

It‘s a real top tapper of a song with a pounding bass line and crunching guitars and ensures the band wear their influences on their sleeve.

Hard Times is full of energy and drive that thanks to the Hammond Organ solo will leave you wanting more.

With their catchy melodies and garage rock sound, Mondo Trasho are a band to keep an eye on.

Hard Times (That’s Life) is released on Friday 28th October  and will be available on all download and streaming platforms.
