Formed in 2017, Paytron Saint are a 4-piece melodic indie grunge band from Amber Valley in Derbyshire.
Originally forming as a 3-piece, they now comprise of brothers Nick & Joel Glyn-Davies on guitar & vocal duties with the rhythm section locked down with Dean Lloyd on Bass and Dan Brigstock on drums.
Having been impacted by Covid, Nick took the opportunity to write new material, whilst Dean, built a new Paytron Saint HQ in his back garden. As things started to ease through 2021 the band got back together and to test out the facilities at the new HQ, recorded 5 live tracks for the evening show on Radio Derby which got them featured as band of the week. After the success of this they got to work writing and recording the material Nick wrote while locked down.
Possibly Honest is one of the songs that was recorded during those sessions and it delivers from the get go. The opening guitar chords are punchy and are joined by these thumping drum beats, which sound like something straight out of the Seattle 90s grunge scene.
Lyrically the song is recognising when you may be overwhelmed and burnt out and getting away to embrace the simple things in life and finding a fresh perspective on difficult situations.
The guitars are fiery and backed up with soaring guitar hooks in the anthemic chorus.
Possibly Honest is full of swagger and has that trademark rock sound. It’s a great track that is going to make people stand up and notice. I highly recommend you check this track out.
Possibly Honest is released on Friday 21st October and will be available to stream and download across all of the usual download and streaming platforms.
